The Parish Council serves our local Community and reviews issues that affect us all. The website covers all the Parish Council Information and also general Community Information from Local Events and Businesses, to Schools and Restaurants. Please use the website, it is for everyone.

LOCAL NEWS
EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE Padworth Road/ Island Farm Road. Saturday 12th May 0800 to 1200
An area of subsidence has appeared right in the mouth of the Padworth Road and Island Farm Road junction, which needs urgent attention.
Therefore the road will be closed as above.
Padworth Road traffic will be diverted along Reading Road to the south and then rejoin at the next junction to the west.
Island Farm Road will be closed in Ufton Nervet.
Enquiries should be addressed to West Berkshire Council for the attention of the engineer dealing, Seamus Logue.

BRIDGE CLOSURES
Please read the following information regarding the closures of local railway bridges.
1. Station Road, Aldermaston Wharf (Lockside Court). Until 5th July. Closure on Station road will be from the A4 to the junction with Mallard Way and a diversion will be signed via the A4 and A340.
2. Sulhamstead Hill, Sulhamstead. Until 11th July. Closure will be from the A4 to the junction with Bottom Lane and diversion signs will be via Theale canal bridge or the A4.
The works are being carried out by Carrillion on behalf of Network Rail and enquires should be addressed to the national rail Enquiry line on 0845 711 4141.
Ufton Nervet level crossing will be closed
over the following weekend's.

Because of the adjacent closure of Sulhamstead Hill railway bridge a diversion will be signed via the A4 to Station Road, Theale and Deans Copse Road.
Padworth Lane is also available. Ufton Lane is no longer being used as a diversion for the Sulhamstead Hill closure.
These closures are for upgrade's to the railway line and take advantage of the closures of the line.
The works are being carried out by McGinley Site services on behalf of Network rail and enquiries should be addressed to them on 02920 250788.
